The organisation was inspired by the founder’s life experiences. As a child of a single mum raised by her grandparents, she went through the hurdles of navigating her body and how it works. As topics about adolescent sexuality appeared uncomfortable to her grandparents especially her grandmother, she was not well exposed to a lot of the things surrounding adolescent sexual and reproductive health.
This impacted her greatly leading to all forms of abuse and unhealthy relationships that basically disrespected her self-worth. These experiences have given her reasons to educate young people especially young girls on their sexual and reproductive health, gender based violence awareness in order to help them know their bodies and how to recognise violent and abusive relationships when they are in any.
Equally, upon experiencing the worst of financial struggles, she feels the need to provide a means of livelihood to young women in same financial stance to enable them afford a decent livelihood and by taking care of some of their educational needs notably the payment of their school fees. Included is the provision of sanitary products to ease the burden on some young women.
All these efforts, are with the hope that they will lead to a reduction in poverty and the possible attainment of almost all the SDGs especially SDGs 1,2,3,4 and 5.
